How To Deal With The Sudden High Temperature Of The Dust Collector

Feb 08, 2022

A dust collector is a device that separates dust from flue gas, which is called a dust collector or dust removal device. The performance of the dust collector is expressed in terms of the amount of gas that can be handled, the resistance loss when the gas passes through the dust collector, and the dust removal efficiency. At the same time, the price, operation and maintenance costs, service life and difficulty of operation and management of the dust collector are also important factors to consider its performance. Dust collectors are commonly used facilities in boilers and industrial production. What happens when a high temperature is reached during the operation of the dust collector?

1. High temperature coating: The anti-corrosion coating of dust collectors for high temperature flue gas is indispensable. Due to poor coating, it not only affects the appearance, but also accelerates corrosion and reduces the service life of the dust collector.

2. Thermal insulation method: No matter how the ash hopper of the dust collector is arranged, the airflow will inevitably be blocked, so thermal insulation methods are adopted in the design. The structure of the thermal insulation layer is calculated according to the prevention of condensation.

3. Use high temperature resistant filter bags: There are many varieties of high temperature resistant filter bags, which are widely used. If the flue gas contains a certain amount of moisture or the flue gas is prone to condensation, it is necessary to choose a high-temperature resistant filter cloth that does not hydrolyze, such as P84.

4. Filter bag mouth method: When using a pulse dust collector to treat high-temperature flue gas, it is necessary to prevent part of the filter bag mouth from cooling and dew condensation. The temperature of the compressed air used for ash cleaning is low, and the temperature of the flue gas to be purified is relatively high. When the compressed air is sprayed into the filter bag through the injection pipe, the compressed air is suddenly released, and the temperature around the bag mouth drops rapidly. If the compressed air quality is poor and contains water and oil, the condensation will be more serious.

5. Structural measures: In order to prevent condensation of high-temperature flue gas after cooling, the internal structure planning of the dust collector should first minimize the area where the gas is blocked. The dust collector enters from the lower part of the box according to the placement of the dust-laden air, and the outlet is arranged on the upper part of the box, on the same side as the inlet. At this moment, the air flow will be stagnant in the lower area of the filter bag and the part opposite to the outlet. Due to the heat dissipation and cooling of the box wall, it is easy to condense. In order to reduce the heat dissipation on the wall, it is planned to install a special method of reinforcing rib structure on the side of the box. The environment-friendly non-asbestos gaskets and sealing materials used on the box should be materials that can withstand the set temperature.

6. The high temperature method before the flue gas enters the dust collector, because the flue gas temperature is as high as about 550 ℃, the existing general dust collectors cannot be used to it, so three cooling and preventive measures are adopted before the flue gas enters the dust collector.
